I used it for a 2.5 week trip overseas and loved the ability to keep clean clothes away from dirty; pockets to place gifts; the sturdy wheels and handle which took serious beatings by handlers; the rugged material and the unique rusty red color which makes the bag easy to ID in a crowd. Nice features also include the ability to tighten it up when more empty, or to let it out a bit to allow for added gear and clothing. good bag no hassles at airports Date: 2009-08-12 | Rating: 5 I got this bag specifically for a month long trip to the Pacific NW and then North to Alaska. I traveled by plane, train, ship, rental car, bus, hospitality van, subway, and even a three block walk in downtown Chicago. It took a little getting used to all the compartments but as time went by they each came in handy for different things, especially the waterproof one near the handle. When I got home and unpacked everything the bag was still in pristine condition, zippers still running smooth, cover not torn up (cleans easily), wheels still working really well. I was able to get the collapsible hiking poles in the bottom of the bag, to save time at security, and had room for a weeks worth of clothes for shopping, sight-seeing and hiking, all of my toiletries (and there were lots of those), hairdryer, souvenirs...you name it. Lots of room inside. This and a backpack are all you'll need. Very pretty and not many of this color out there...a big plus at the baggage carousel (and LL Bean has a backpack almost the same identical color!) Rolls very easily. Zippers can all be locked together if you get the little TSA approved locks. Great bag!!
