Customer Reviews Great Big Duffel Date: 2009-01-20 | Rating: 5 I bought this for a 2.5 week trip to India. It handled everything well and holds a ton... much more weight than the airlines allow The most versatile bag for any type of travel with kids Date: 2009-05-22 | Rating: 5 We bought a pair of these for a two-week trip with cross-country air travel and several hundred of miles by car. They are lightweight, durable and held all our clothes plus a child's travel cot. The bag rolls very easily. The zippers are strong and the straps provide additional support to keep it closed. The backstrap feature is great for lugging luggage up stairs in places that have no elevators or if you are pushing a stroller. It will go over the weight limit if you expand it but if you are traveling by car, these bags fit well side to side in any trunk and expand vertically as needed. If you're traveling with children the shape of these are especially good - we were able to fit an umbrella stroller as well (they're all similar in size and shape). There was only minor damage from a major puncture caused by the airline, which was stopped in its tracks by the thick rubber-like padded lining on top of this duffel (I didn't even notice it until I saw how well it protected the contents). If I had used any other duffel, the contents would have been damaged, so I'm very happy about this. The small tear on top doesn't affect performance and can be easily patched. Huge Bag...Easy to pull. Love it, Love it, Love it. Date: 2009-03-20 | Rating: 5 This bag is awsome. I have had it for about a year now and it shows absolutely NO wear. It has been to Australia, China and Mexico to name a few places. The zippers are substancial and hold up to being pulled on. It is made of heavy canvas and huge clips keep this baby closed. This bag will be over your weight limit if you cram it full with clothes and shoes, I always leave the expansion zipped on the way to my destination so I have room to bring things back! I am so glad I replaced my American Tourister bags that the zippers are falling apart on with this one. This bag doesn't hit the back of my legs or tip over when I pull it, so annoying when that happens. I am shopping for the 26" matching piece and a carryon for the next trip down under. Best duffle ever! Date: 2009-10-17 | Rating: 5 This duffle is even better than I had hoped! I travel to different settings: camps, college campuses, hotels, etc in a variety of vehicles. The bag is great for using in a car, taking on a bus, the train, or plane. However, it is very easy to load it to over weight, without even filling it! The bag is extremely well laid out. The drop bottom's divider is great for separating shoes from clothing. The straps in the bottom are actually usable, unlike some other luggage I have owned. The top area is enormous by itself, even without using the bottom. I have not opened the separator to make one gigantic bag yet, but it would do so very easily and efficiently. The wheels are very smooth; held up well over the rock and gravel paths at a camp, as well! Once expanded, the bag's bottom is well constructed; the flip-up support makes it sturdy and allows the bag to stand up as well as it did un-expanded. That was a major selling point for me, that it could stand up when fully packed. The tie-down straps on the side appear just for show at first, but when we had it fully packed while expanded, the straps actually helped to snug up areas that would have sagged otherwise. At first, this duffle might look like it is only for show, but it is truly made for go! I have had four people that I work with ask about the bag and where I got it. This bag was a great deal for the price! great travel bag for loads of stuff. Date: 2009-08-31 | Rating: 5 I just took this bag to hawaii with more than enough cloths and stuff to last me 2 weeks. I still had loads of room for all the stuff I bought. It can easily hold more than the 50 lb. weight limit for most airlines. Not to mention that its rough and tough. this thing is heavy duty. I cant wait to use it again. | |||||
